AuqaLife Privacy Policy

AuqaLife ("we", "us", or "our") is an aquaculture management application designed to help shrimp farmers, fish farmers, farm owners, technicians, consultants, and aquaculture professionals manage farming activities, ponds, water quality, and related information.

This Privacy Policy explains how AuqaLife collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects user information when you use our application.

By using AuqaLife, you acknowledge that you have been informed about the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use AuqaLife, we may collect the following types of information.

When you create an account or sign in, we collect:

• Profile information and district provided by you
• Account creation and activity information

AuqaLife supports authentication through email/password and Google Sign-In.

1.2 Farm, Pond, and Aquaculture Data

You voluntarily provide information related to your aquaculture activities, including:

• Farm and pond names, areas, and depths
• Water quality records (pH, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, salinity, alkalinity, nitrite, and temperature)
• Feed management and feeding schedules
• Harvest history and inventory records
• Lime, probiotic, and fertilizer management records
• Financial income and expense records
• Farming notes and custom logs entered by you

1.3 Location Information

AuqaLife accesses location information only when explicitly requested by the user (such as when a user taps "Use Current GPS Location" to update weather for their exact location) or through manually selected district preferences.

Location information may be used for:

• Providing local weather forecasts and aquaculture advisories

You can manage location permissions through your device settings at any time without affecting manual district selection.

1.4 Camera and QR Code Scanner

AuqaLife accesses your device's camera only with your explicit permission when you use features such as:

• Scanning QR codes within the application
• Capturing or uploading photos related to farm records or profile images

1.5 Notification and Exact Alarm Information

AuqaLife uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, local notifications, and device alarm scheduling (USE_EXACT_ALARM) to deliver critical aquaculture feeding reminders, water quality alerts, and application updates.

1.6 Device and Technical Information

We may collect technical information, including:

• Device identifiers and operating system information
• App version and crash diagnostics
• Application interaction logs

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and secure user accounts
• Synchronize farm, pond, and water quality records across devices
• Provide aquaculture calculations (FCR, survival rate, stocking density)
• Deliver scheduled feeding reminders and smart water quality alerts
• Provide location-based weather data upon user request
• Improve app performance, stability, and security
• Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob

We do not sell users' personal information.

3. Firebase and Google Services

AuqaLife uses Google Firebase and related Google services to support core functionality, including:

• Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In
• Cloud Firestore and Realtime Database (data synchronization)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications)
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (analytics and crash reporting)
• Firebase Storage (media uploads)

4. Advertising Services

AuqaLife uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers, device information, and IP addresses for ad delivery and measurement.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored using Google Firebase cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. While we implement security measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Inactivity Policy: Accounts inactive for 90 consecutive days may be automatically deleted along with associated farming records.

User-Initiated Deletion: Users may request account and data deletion at any time, directly through the app or by requesting account deletion.

7. Children's Privacy and Child Safety

AuqaLife is intended for professional aquaculture and farming activities and is not directed at children. We strictly prohibit any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
